Q101. How the supply is provided in cells for a special maintenance work?
A.       Power supply in the cell is provided through extension boards.

Q102. What is the power supply arrangement for fuel pond lights which are normally under water?
A.       Power supply to fuel pond lights is given through 440/110 VAC, isolated transformer.

Q103. How the supply is provided for sampling blister?
A.     Power supply 230/32 VAC, isolation transformer for halogen lamps and 230 V for HPMV lamps through starter.

Q104. What are the power supply sources for emergency lights?
A.        Emergency lights are fed from MP – 15.

Q105. What is the procedure for taking up such a special work of pond light?
A.      Pond light are removed out of pond. Then they are decontaminated and then they are repaired as per SWP instruction.

Q106. How do you disconnected the light? What extra care is needed to enter inside the fuel pond while
           disconnecting and connecting?
A.   For disconnecting pond lights, switch off the supply to isolation transformer, remove fuses. Disconnected the joints, tape cable ends, safety belts are to be used while disconnecting and connecting the lights.

Q107. When the light is lifted out of the pond? Why it is necessary to spray DM water?
A.      When pond light fixtures are taken out of the pond DM water is sprayed on it for decontamination of fixture.

Q108. What precautions are to be taken while opening the blister plugs?
A.      Ensure that BOG fan is running while opening blister plug otherwise air activity will come out. Plug also wedge for blister cover.

Q109. Why the power cable entry in the blister is zigzag?
A.        Blisters are under vacuum. Zigzag cable entry prevents the thrust of pressured air entry into blister.

Q110. What care is to be taken to prevent the overheating of blister by the lamp?
A.       To switch off blister lights, timers are provided in light circuit. Switch cut off the supply of light after preset time and avoids overheating of blister. This timers are also increasing the life of bulbs.

Q111.  How the lamps are protected from being damaged by the tong?
A.        A SS grill is provided on lamps for protecting it from tongs.

Q112. What safety care is to be taken while giving power supply to these lamps?
A.      Supply voltage should be checked before giving power supply to these lamps because there are two supply i.e. 230VAC & 32VAC.

Q113.  What is the procedure for removing the light plug from the Dissolver cell?
A.       Plug can be replaced by removing the block out side before this supply should switched off and DOG should be running to keep dissolver cell at low pressure.
